The commentators who appeared on the Fuji TV ONE broadcast of 'Professional baseball News 2026' on the 23rd discussed the Softbank Hawks batting lineup, which will compete in the Japan Series starting on the 24th.

Commentator Ryota Igarashi noted, "It's great that they've been able to fix Masaki in the leadoff spot. He can hit for extra bases and has a good eye, so there's a possibility the game could start moving right from the first inning. If the first and second batters get on base, the third, fourth, and fifth hitters are reliable. The key lies in the transition from the top of the order to the cleanup hitters," drawing attention to Masaki's ability to get on base.
