Okinawa Shogaku's left-handed pitcher Ryosuke Sueyoshi, who has a maximum speed of 150 km/h, was selected as the third-round draft pick by Nippon-Ham. With a look of surprise at the school in Naha City, he was tossed in the air by his teammates as he said, "After having various issues like an injury to my left elbow this year, I thought I wouldn't be selected... so my primary feeling right now is one of happiness."

Characterized by a soft pitch form and a solid lower body, he appeared in Koshien for four consecutive seasons from the spring of his second year in high school until this summer. In last summer's Koshien, despite being a second-year student, he became the winning pitcher as the ace, appearing in all six games and working at full capacity with two complete games, including one shutout game. His impression of Nippon-Ham is that it is a 'team where you can play in games at an early stage if you produce results.' He is also looking forward to playing under Manager Shinjo, saying with a smile, 'I think he is a manager who does very extraordinary things. I hope we can have fun together.'

Selected for the high school national team for two consecutive years starting from his second year of high school, his experience is top-class for his generation, having contributed to a runner-up finish as the ace of the high school national team at the U-18 World Cup last September. In the first round of Koshien during the summer of his third year, he suffered a lose against Yokohama, which featured pitcher Shoki Oda, who was selected as the first-round pick by The Giants. Due in part to an injury to his left elbow ligament in April, he had temporarily listed his career path as 'undecided,' but he ultimately decided to compete in the professional world, which had been his goal from the beginning. His ideal pitcher is Hiroya Miyagi of the Orix Buffaloes, but he expressed his enthusiasm, saying, 'I want to become an original pitcher. I have always aimed to be a pitcher who can win. While working on building my body at the same time, I want to do my best in the professional world.'

Ryosuke Sueyoshi. Born November 18, 2008, in Urasoe City, Okinawa. 17 years old. Started baseball with Nakanishi VBC in his second year at Nakanishi Elementary School, and played for the rubber-ball baseball club at Nakanishi Junior High School. In high school, he joined the bench with number 20 in the summer of his first year and became the ace starting that autumn. He has appeared in Koshien for four consecutive seasons since the spring of his second year. Last summer, he won the national championship as the ace. 176 cm, 94 kg. Left-handed pitcher and left-handed batter.
