2026 Professional baseball Draft Conference supported by Lipovitan D (22nd)

Bukkyo University pitcher Ryosuke Nomura was selected in the fifth round by the Orix Buffaloes.

A full-fledged right-handed pitcher with a maximum speed of 152 km/h and plenty of stamina.

In this autumn's league matches, they have six wins and no losses. He has performed brilliantly as the ace, bringing the team to within one victory of reclaiming the championship for the first time in two seasons.

In university, he improved his physical strength through weight training. This autumn, he unsealed the slider—a pitch he had used in high school but had stopped throwing due to the physical strain it caused—thereby expanding his pitching repertoire.
