On the 21st, Nippon Professional baseball (NPB) added Orix Buffaloes catcher Ryo Ishikawa (31) to the list of players who acquired domestic FA rights this season for the 2026 free agent eligibility. He had acquired the rights on the 2nd through the infectious disease exception and the ceremonial leave exception.

A total of 105 players were announced, including Hiroshima's pitcher Hiroki Tokoda (31), pitcher Masato Morishita (29), and catcher Shogo Sakakura (28). There are 17 players with international free agency rights, including Seibu Lions' Kona Takahashi.

If a player notifies their current club of their intent within seven days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, starting from the day after the Japan Series ends, they can exercise their free agency rights and begin contract negotiations the day after being publicly announced as a 'Free Agent Declared Player.'
