Rakuten Eagles manager Masato Yoshii mentioned on the 20th regarding catcher Yasuda's challenge to play third base.

This season, YG Yasuda had a breakout after the summer. He appeared in 72 games, recording a .280 batting average, 8 Home Runs, and 33 RBIs. Leveraging his characteristic hitting ability, while his primary position is catcher, he increased his opportunities in the starting line-up at first base during the final stages of this season.

He is currently participating in the Miyazaki Phoenix League. Instead of catcher or first baseman, he continues to play mainly at third base. The manager, who was observing the league, explained the objective, saying, 'Since I already know he can play first base, I thought it would be better for both him and the team if he could also play third base.'

The policy is to continue requiring preparation for multiple positions. Manager Yoshii shared his vision, saying, 'I want him to play as a catcher, first baseman, and third baseman.'
