On the 20th, the Rakuten Eagles started their autumn practice at their home stadium. Eleven players, including Hayakawa and Ogoh, participated while Manager Yoshii and other coaching staff looked on. They worked up a sweat through activities such as catch and tee batting.

Before the start of the team practice, Manager Yoshii gave a speech. Regarding the content of the speech, the commander joked, 'I just asked if anyone went on a trip somewhere during the break, something like that.'

The team finished at the bottom of the standings this season. Manager Yoshii, who took over mid-season, wants his players to think for themselves. He stated, 'It has been consistent, but I want them to be able to think and act on their own, so I want them to continue doing that.'

The policy is to leave the intensity of autumn training up to the players to some extent. 'That (training intensity) is up to the players. I won't tell them to do this or that. I believe the players have things they want to do, and I want them to think about that for themselves. I hope they become able to practice properly on their own when the off-season begins. I think all the current members can do it, and that includes the players returning from the Phoenix League,' he explained.
