Rakuten Eagles manager Masato Yoshii visited the home stadium for autumn practice on the 20th and checked on the condition of the players.

The draft meeting is scheduled for the 22nd. When asked if he had made any requests regarding players, Manager Yoshii revealed, 'I haven't.' He explained, 'Essentially, I believe a manager's job is to win with the resources provided. While I do communicate to the team which areas we are lacking in or what we need, I haven't said anything at all about who specifically I want or wanting this or that; I am leaving it up to the front office.'

If multiple teams compete for the first-round draft pick, a lottery will be held. Manager Yoshii was tasked with drawing the lots during his time as the Lotte manager, but he lost in both 2022 and 2023. The commander smiled self-deprecatingly, saying, 'I don't mind drawing, but looking at my past record, I'm not sure if they'll let me.'
