Nippon-Ham announced on the 19th that they will not sign contracts for the next season with three players: pitcher Koki Matsuoka (26), catcher Yuki Umebayashi (28), and infielder Ryosuke Myose (21).
Matsuoka, who transferred from the Seibu Lions in the 2022 active player draft, appeared in two games this season as a reliever. He finished with a record of 0 wins and 1 loss.
Umebayashi, who joined the team as a sixth-round draft pick in 2019, was moved to a developmental contract after the 2023 season but returned to the main roster in 2024. However, in both last year and this year, he ended up appearing in only two games each.
Akase, who joined the team as the fourth-round draft pick in 2023, did not make any first-team appearances during his three years.
