Hiromitsu Ochiai, who appeared on the popular 'Sports Opinion' segment of the program 'Sunday Morning' (TBS network) broadcast on the 18th, spoke about the key points of the Japan Series.

This year's Japan Series features a matchup between the Pacific League's Softbank Hawks, who achieved three consecutive league titles, and the Central League's third-place DeNA, who advanced by winning six straight games in the Climax Series. This is the first Japan Series between the Softbank Hawks and DeNA since 2024.

Mr. Ochiai stated that the key point of the Japan Series is 'the pitcher.' He pointed out the rotation of the pitcher staff as a crucial factor, saying, 'I think the manager's leadership depends on when to change the pitcher. In a short series, if the starting pitcher is doing well, how long do you keep them in, and when do you swap them out? This is the most important part of this series. baseball is always like that, but I believe that is the point that most directly links to winning or losing.'
