On the October 16th broadcast of CS Fuji TV ONE's 'Professional baseball News 2026', second-year player Yudai Shoji, who was selected as the MVP of the Climax Series Final Stage, was featured. Shoji performed well in both offense and defense, recording 5 hits and 2 RBI in 11 At Bats over the three games of the Climax Series Final Stage. Regarding Shoji, program MC Motonobu Tanishige said, 'He hit a game-tying RBI single in the first game, and it felt like he rode that momentum from there. Even so, Softbank Hawks seems to produce one or two players like this every year...' Commentary from Akio Saito included, 'My impression of Shoji is that he is a batter without much power, but I think he has become strong in clutch situations.' Similarly, commentator Atsushi Kataoka praised him, saying, 'I suppose you could call it youthful energy. I'm sure opponents had various strategies against him, but he firmly fulfilled his role of connecting to the top of the lineup. His presence was particularly prominent in the Final Stage.'
