On the 16th, the Softbank Hawks won their game against Nippon-Ham (Mizuho PayPay) with a score of 6-2. They secured their spot in the Japan Series for the third consecutive year. On the CS Fuji TV ONE broadcast of 'Professional Baseball News 2026' aired on the 16th, the Softbank Hawks' performance in the final stage was reviewed. Commentator Akio Saito said, 'The players were able to bat solidly in each situation. I thought the connection within the lineup, being able to score runs exactly when needed, was amazing.' Fellow commentator Atsushi Kataoka commented, 'I think The Fighters had momentum after winning their way up, but they brilliantly repelled that momentum. They had a roster capable of responding no matter what tactics were used. I believe we saw the gapless baseball and gapless play that Manager Kokubo often speaks of.' Additionally, program MC Motonobu Tanishige commented, 'I felt they were able to play exactly the same way they have throughout this season.'
