2026 PERSOL Climax Series Pacific League First Stage Game 3: Seibu Lions vs. Nippon-Ham (12th, Belluna Dome)
Nippon-Ham starting pitcher Hiromi Ito temporarily retreated to the bench area following an accident. In the top of the third inning, after fielding a pitcher's grounder with irregular spin from Tonosaki and attempting to tag the hitter-runner himself, some kind of accident appeared to occur. The play was recorded as a pitcher's grounder. Afterward, pitching coach Kato rushed to him, and he temporarily went back to the bench. In the bullpen, Okawa was seen hurriedly warming up, but about three minutes later, Ito reappeared on the ground and continued pitching.
