2026 PERSOL Climax Series Pacific League First Stage Game 2: Seibu Lions vs. Nippon-Ham (11th, Belluna Dome)

Starting pitcher Kona Takahashi gave up the opening run.

The early stages were a display of tenacious pitch. Although he allowed a runner in every inning from the first to the third, he remained unfazed. He carefully threw his fastball, which exceeded 150 km/h, along with his slider and other pitches, and as the closer he held them to zero runs.

The game saw movement in the fifth inning. With two outs and a runner on second, he gave up the opening run after allowing Nomura to hit a doble to left-center. Although he had been pitching well, the deadlock was finally broken.

The lineup struggled against Nippon-Ham starter Tatsu. They were held to no runs on just one hit through four innings by the closer.

The Seibu Lions won with a walk-off in the same match yesterday on the 10th. They are now one step away from advancing past the first stage.
