2026 PERSOL Climax Series Pacific League First Stage Game 1: Seibu Lions vs. Nippon-Ham (10th, Belluna Dome)

Seibu Lions infielder Taiga Hirasawa hit his first career home run in the Climax Series. With one out in the first inning and the score tied 0-0, he caught Arihara's cutter and drove a solo shot over the right-field fence. The 28-year-old, who hammered out a precious opening run against the right-hander who had struggled at the start of games with a season-high 20 runs allowed in the first inning, said with a smile, "I'm glad I could give us the lead with a single swing."
