Akihiko Ohya, who appeared on 'Professional baseball News 2026' broadcast on Fuji TV ONE on the 8th, mentioned Seibu Lions' Taiga Kojima.

Mr. Oya stated, "For a rookie catcher to be this active, especially since the Seibu Lions were not very strong until last year. Since joining this year, he has batted third and has been performing well as a left-handed hitter in the Seibu Lions' lineup. Being able to play in the games against Nippon-Ham in his first year at the catcher position is a tremendous learning experience for him. I chose Kojima with the hope that he will make the most of this," naming him as the key player for the CS first baseman stage.

Kojima played in 99 games this season, his first year as a professional, recording a .267 batting average, 9 Home Runs, and 40 RBI.
