Nippon-Ham announced on the 8th that they have reached an agreement to renew the contract with Manager Tsuyoshi Shinjo, and it has been decided that he will continue to lead the team for the 2027 season.

After taking over as manager in 2022, Manager Shinjo finished in last place for two consecutive years in 2022 and 2023. However, from his third year onward, after developing young players, he led the team to a top-three finish for three consecutive seasons. In this fifth year of his tenure, the team finished in third place with a record of 78 wins, 62 losses, and 3 draws.

In order to advance to the Japan Series, they will face the Seibu Lions in the CS first baseman stage starting on the 10th.
