The roster for Samurai Japan, which will compete in the 'Luxas Asia Professional baseball Championship 2026' (November 12-15 at Tokyo Dome), was announced on the 7th.

From Lotte, which manager Tadahito Iguchi (51) led from 2018 to 2022, pitcher Shunsuke Nakamori (24), outfielder Koki Yamaguchi (26), and outfielder Misho Nishikawa (23) were selected. The comments from the three players are as follows.

Nakamori: "I am very happy to be able to represent my country for the first time, including my time as a student. I am grateful for being selected and want to play with all my might."

Yamaguchi: "I am honored to have been selected. Since I was a child, I have never once been chosen for a representative team like this, so I am happy to be able to experience it now on the professional stage. I hope to deliver solid results as an overage player, and I will do my best to show my strengths in batting. I am also happy to be able to play baseball with Manager Iguchi again."

Nishikawa: "I am truly honored and happy. After all, I want to do my best for Japan so that I can play in the matches and produce results."
