Misho Nishikawa of Lotte recorded his 155th hit of the season in the game against the Seibu Lions on the 6th, tying with Ryoma Nishikawa (Orix Buffaloes) and securing the title for the most hits.

In his second at-bat with one out and a runner on first base in the third inning, trailing 0-2, Nishikawa hit a 148 km/h fastball on the fifth pitch from Natsuki Takeuchi after a 2-ball, 2-strike count. The hit went over the short stop's head into left field, marking his 155th hit, which tied him with Ryoma Nishikawa for the league lead. Nishikawa made a fist pump with his right hand as he headed toward first base.

Nishikawa expressed his joy, saying, 'I really had a lot on my mind, but I decided that I just had to do what I've always done and give it my all here. I went in with that kind of determination. I'm truly glad I was able to get a hit.'

Furthermore, he became the fourth player in the team's history to achieve the feat of leading the league in hits, the first since Takashi Ogino in 2021.
