Pacific League: Lotte vs Seibu Lions (6th, ZOZO)
Seibu Lions Shinya Hasegawa outfielder hit a leading 13th Home Run of the season in the game against Lotte (ZOZO) on the 6th. The 13 Home Run in a season by a player from the developmental draft became the record for the most, surpassing both Softbank Hawks Takuya Kai catcher (currently The Giants) and The Giants Seiya Matsubara outfielder in 2021.
He started the game as the number two hitter and center fielder. With one out in the first inning, he connected with a 148 km/h two seam fastball from the opposing starter, Lucchesi, sending the ball flying into the left-center stands.
Hasegawa joined the team as the second pick in the 2020 developmental draft from Tsuruga Kehi High School in Fukui. He was promoted to the 70-man roster in July 2022, his second year as a professional.
