Rakuten Eagles manager Masato Yoshii revealed a policy to give the first-team core players about two weeks of rest before the start of autumn training.

The season ended on the 5th, the previous day. A rest period of about two weeks was established before the start of autumn practice. Manager Yoshii shared the outlook for the future, stating, 'I want them to rest during the period furthest from the start of the season. I want everyone to take a good rest for two weeks, and after that, I think they will be divided into players who focus on technique and players who focus on physical strength. I want them to work hard on those areas during November, December, and January as they head into camp.'

There is a clear reason for setting a longer rest period than usual. The manager explained the objective, saying, 'The best time to rest is when the season is furthest away. Japanese baseball tends to get the timing of rest wrong, which causes a lot of trouble for the players, but this time there is a period where they can actually rest. I told the team to first take a proper rest, reset their bodies and minds, and then start practicing hard from the latter half of October. This does not apply to the second-team players, though.'

Young players and farm team members other than the main roster will participate in the 23rd Miyazaki Phoenix League starting on the 7th. Manager Yoshii revealed that he will be visiting to observe, stating, "I will be going to Miyazaki from the 6th."
