Orix Buffaloes announced on the 6th that pitcher Anderson Espinoza left Japan on the 5th to return to his home country. In his third year with the team this season, he worked at full capacity as a key member of the starting rotation. With a performance of 13 wins, 6 losses, and a 2.71 ERA, he became the first foreign pitcher in club history to win the title for most wins.
Below are the comments from Espinoza.
To all the Orix Buffaloes fans, thanks to all of you, this has been a truly wonderful year. I sincerely thank you for your cheers, support, and the passionate energy you poured into every game. Your love and support gave me the strength to grow into a better player. While the future is not yet decided, one thing is certain: no matter where I am, you will always remain in my heart. This season, I was fortunate enough to win the title for most wins, but that could not have been achieved without the support of my teammates, the organization, and above all, everyone who cheered for me throughout the year. I am heading home with a strong determination to work even harder, continue growing, and become the best version of myself. Thank you so much for making this year such a special one. With love and gratitude, Espi.
