Pacific League: Lotte 1-7 Seibu Lions (5th, ZOZO)

The Seibu Lions won a close game against Lotte, securing second place for the 26th season with one game remaining. Manager Nishiguchi expressed his enthusiasm, saying, 'I think it was very significant that we were able to decide it today with tomorrow's game still left, and this means we can at least play the first baseman stage at home. I want to work hard with the support of the fans.'

In the 8th inning with the score tied and one out and the bases loaded, 25th-year veteran infielder Takeya Nakamura drew a bases-loaded Walk to drive in the go-ahead run. After there were two outs and the bases loaded, another run was added on an opponent's wild pitch.

In the ninth inning, the lineup clicked, scoring four runs all at once to seal the game.

Starting pitcher Kona Takahashi did not get the win, but he showed a tenacious performance, pitching 6 innings with 8 strike outs, 7 hits, 1 Walk, and 1 runs.

In the first stage of the Climax Series (CS) starting on the 10th, they will face Nippon-Ham, who finished in third place, at their home stadium, Belluna Dome.
