Pacific League: Lotte 1-7 Seibu Lions (5th, ZOZO Marine)

They suffered a come-from-behind loss to the Seibu Lions, confirming their fifth-place finish for this season.

In the third inning, Yamaguchi hit his 38th solo home run of the season into the left-field stands for two consecutive games to take the lead. However, in the fourth inning, the starting pitcher Nishino gave up a sacrifice fly to Nevin, allowing the game to be tied.

In the 8th inning with the score tied 1-1, the second pitcher Masuda faced a crisis with one out and the bases loaded due to three Walk and other factors. He then gave up a painful run-scoring Walk to pinch hitter Takeya Nakamura. With the bases loaded and one out still, the third pitcher Yagi, who came on in relief, threw a wild pitch. This allowed a two-run lead, making it 1-3. In the 9th inning, Ono gave up four more runs.

The batting lineup was held off by the Seibu Lions relief pitchers in the 8th and 9th innings, resulting in a lose. The game against the Seibu Lions on the 6th (ZOZO) will be the final game of the season.
