Pacific League: Lotte vs Seibu Lions (5th, ZOZO)

The Seibu Lions caught up to a tie with a sacrifice fly by infielder Tyler Nevin. A draw or better will secure second place for the 26th season.

In the bottom of the fourth inning with no outs and runners on first and third while trailing by one run, Nevin swung at a slider from the opposing starter Nishino and hit a sacrifice fly to center field. He reflected on the play, saying, 'Since we had just given up the lead, I'm glad I could at least do the minimum job required.'
