Lotte pitcher Kazuya Ojima (30) spoke to the press at ZOZO on the 5th, addressing the domestic free agency rights for which he met the eligibility requirements in August.

While stating, 'Yesterday (the 4th), my final appearance of the season just ended, so I haven't actually thought that far ahead yet,' he expressed his intention to give it careful consideration, saying, 'This is a right I was able to earn because I was given opportunities to play under Manager Iguchi, then Manager Yoshii, and with Saburo-san. I want to think about it very seriously starting from today.'

The left-hander, who is from Saitama Prefecture and joined Lotte as the third draft pick in 2018 from Urawa Gakuin and Waseda University, recorded 6 wins and 9 losses with a 3.53 ERA in 20 games this season, his eighth year. He has achieved double-digit wins three times so far, with 10 wins in 2021 and 2023 and 12 wins in 2024, and has marked a total of 59 wins and 63 losses with a 3.60 ERA in 172 career games.
