◆ Pacific League League: Lotte vs. Seibu Lions (5th, ZOZO Marine Stadium)
Lotte outfielder Koki Yamaguchi (26) appeared in the starting line-up as the 'number 2 DH' for the game against the Seibu Lions. In his second at-bat as the lead-off hitter in the third inning, he hit his 38th solo home run of the season into the left-field stands off Seibu Lions starting right-hander Kona Takahashi to take the lead.
Home Run production has entered a mass-production phase with four across three consecutive games since the Softbank Hawks game on the 3rd (ZOZO). Lotte still has one game remaining on the 6th, bringing Softbank Hawks' Kurihara, who leads with 40 Home Run, within striking distance.
