◆Pacific League: Lotte vs. Rakuten Eagles (4th, ZOZO Marine)

Lotte outfielder Koki Yamaguchi hit his 36th two-run home run to take the lead.

In the bottom of the fourth inning with no outs and a runner on first, trailing by one run, he connected with a low inside cutter thrown by Hayakawa. The ball flew into the left-field stands. With a single swing, he turned the game around. The home stadium was engulfed in a frenzy.

In the game against the Softbank Hawks on the 3rd, the previous day, he hit a walk-off home run. With this arch, his second in two consecutive games, he reached 36. The club record for Home Run since moving to Chiba was previously held by Benny, who hit 35 in 2004, but Yamaguchi has now updated it.
