Nippon-Ham's number four hitter, outfielder Kane Edokpolo, hit a solo Home Run in the third inning to extend the lead.

In the third inning with two outs and no runner while leading 1-0, Edopolo took his turn at bat and caught a 149 km/h inside pitch from The Giants' starter Mataki, driving it into the left-center stands.

Edopolo is a rookie who joined from Osaka Gakuin University as a second-round draft pick in 2025. Although he finished with no hits in four games with the first team this season, he recorded 17 Home Runs in the farm league, the most in the Eastern Division.
