On the 2nd, Lotte conducted a fundraising activity at ZOZO to support victims of Typhoon No. 25 in Chiba Prefecture. After practice before the game against the Softbank Hawks, Ojima, Yokoyama, Karakawa, Yagi, Ono, Masuda, Sawada, Ogawa, and Takabe participated and called on visitors for their cooperation in the fundraising.

Karakawa, a native of Narita City, commented through the team: "I am truly grateful to the many people who came to donate and spoke to me today. While there was no particular damage in my immediate vicinity, seeing news of flooded areas in Narita City—including places I have visited since I was a child—pains my heart. I would be happy if the sentiments shared by everyone today reach those affected by the disaster. Since I have been given the opportunity to start tomorrow's game, I hope there is at least one person who can gain courage from watching me. I want to show them a strong performance."

The relief funds will be donated to Chiba Prefecture, and fundraising activities by the players will also be held on the 3rd and 4th. Donation boxes will be set up inside ZOZO until the 6th.
