Orix Buffaloes pitcher Hiroshi, catcher Sho Fukunaga, and infielder Sho Gibo joined the first team on the 2nd. On September 30th, pitcher Ren Mukunoki and catcher Ryo Ishikawa were removed from the active roster under the NPB infectious disease exception. Ahead of the final game of the season against the Rakuten Eagles on the 3rd (Rakuten Mobile Park Miyagi), it appears they are adding personnel to both the pitching and hitting departments.

Hiroshi, in his third year since transferring from Chunichi via the active player draft, had 3 wins, 0 losses, and a 2.31 ERA in 21 games. Gibo, who returned to the registered roster this April, batted .163 in 28 games. Fukunaga, in his fifth professional year, had a .125 batting average, 1 Home Run, and 2 RBI in 28 games. In a farm interleague game against The Giants on September 1st (G-Town), he suffered an accident where he was struck by Sasahara's bat during defense and was diagnosed with a contusion on the left side of his head (with some lacerations), but he returned to action in a game against the Hanshin Tigers on the 12th of the same month (Tondabayashi).
