"The 2025 'Cloud jersey' made a huge impact and received a great response because it was a dramatic departure from the 2024 black steel frame-like design and took a more pop direction," Sato recalls.

After the successful experience of brightening up the entire stadium, the goal for the 2026 model was to return to "coolness." The contrast between the organic beauty of the "natural grass" and the rugged, inorganic "pillars" made fans exclaim, "I see!" It's truly a "wearable" ES CON FIELD.

The color has been well-received by the players, especially Yuya Gunji who loves the color green so much that he even uses it in his shin guards. He even joked about it like the one above, and it seems to have struck a chord with the players.

The most eye-catching feature of this jersey is its deep, unique green color.

"Because it's ES CON FIELD jersey, we knew we had to take inspiration from something inside the stadium."

Sato repeatedly played word association games while looking at the view of the stadium, and finally arrived at "grass." However, choosing the right green color proved extremely difficult.

"The color green is really difficult to incorporate into jersey."

A bright green would have looked too cutesy, and colors used by other teams were also a no-no. So they decided on a dark green that looks bluish up close.

The inspiration for the design was also hidden in the players' everyday lives.

"pitcher Tatsu (Kota) painted the logo on his personal hat green himself and wears it, and player Gunji uses green equipment. I was convinced that green was the perfect color for the new heroes on our team."

A common feature of The Fighters 'jersey is embroidery, but this time they also paid attention to the texture.

"With the help of Mizuno, we were able to recreate a deep, lustrous blue-green that shines like grass wet with morning dew. We paid close attention to the color of even the single thread of embroidery."

The lines on the sleeves represent vibrantly growing grass. The futuristic feel and naturalness of ES CON FIELD are beautifully combined. "Also, there's something I really want to tell you all," Sato continues.

"The beautiful grass at ES CON FIELD is the result of the maintenance and upkeep by Toyo Green. The professional care of ground really adds to the authenticity of jersey."

Coincidence or fate? A match with jersey from 80 years ago

The choice of "black" as the base color also has a clear purpose.

"It's not simply because black is trending in baseball world. There's a rule that you must play within the brand colors of ES CON FIELD (black, light blue, and white)."

The black used this time was sampled from the color of the stadium's massive pillars (pillar black). It's a matte, sophisticated, and rich black. Harmony with the green was also considered.

To see if there were any overlaps in the color combinations they had adopted, they thoroughly investigated the history of jersey, including those of other teams. Coincidentally, they discovered that the Senators (the predecessor team of The Fighters) in 1946 had adopted a color called "eggplant navy," which appears as both blue and green, for jersey. Sato said he felt that the history and identity of the teams had intersected.

"We incorporated the core sentiments that everyone can relate to—'The The Fighters players are cool' and 'The grass at ES CON FIELD is the most beautiful'—into the design without changing them. Even from my perspective, I think it's the greatest masterpiece ever," Sato proudly states.

Although the initial pre-order period for replica jersey has already ended, pre-orders for the "ES CON FIELD jersey 2026" replica jersey and caps will resume on February 1st at 10:00 AM at the official online store. All players for the 2026 season, including new recruits (including development players) and coaches, will be included.
