On the 31st, Lotte announced that former Seibu Lions manager Kazuo Matsui (50) will be participating in the first-team spring training camp in Miyakonojo, Miyazaki as a temporary coach.

The program will run from February 5th to 11th. Matsui is one year ahead of Manager Saburo at PL Gakuen. He has an outstanding track record as a player in both Japan and the US, and has ample experience as a coach, so it is likely to be a meaningful time for the Lotte players as well.
