Softbank Hawks Hawks manager Hiroki Kokubo, CBO Kenji Johjima, and other front office staff, coaches, players, and staff visited Hakozaki Shrine in Fukuoka City on the 30th to pray for victory.

Although the team won the Japan Series last season, the manager declared, "I'm going to destroy the team once." This season, with the team aiming for a third consecutive league championship and consecutive Japan Series titles, they will start training camp on February 1st under the slogan "Completely New."
