Seibu Lions 's rookie joint voluntary training session concluded on the 28th. On the final day, free batting practice was held at Belluna Dome, and first-round draft catcher Taiga Kojima (Meiji University) hit a series of home runs from the left side of the plate under the watchful eyes of manager Nishiguchi and first-team chief and batting coach Nishi. "I focused on making sure I had a solid swing when I was batting. It's a magnificent stadium, so it makes me want to play here," he said with a raised voice.

He completed his voluntary training without injury and looks satisfied, saying, "I'm in good shape for camp. He is expected to be an immediate asset catcher who can hit, and will start at the Nango camp with the first team. I'm going to be aggressive and show off my batting ability, so I hope people will watch me bat.
