On the 26th, Orix Buffaloes announced that Yosuke Takasu will be assigned to the Scorer Group in the Administrative Department at the team headquarters as of February 1st. Takasu attended Kanazawa High School (Ishikawa) and Aoyama Gakuin University before joining the Kintetsu Buffaloes as the second pick in the 1997 draft. He played primarily as second baseman and appeared in 116 games in 1999, his second year as a professional.

He was drafted by Rakuten Eagles in 2005 and played in a career-high 130 games in 2007. With solid defense and a competitive hitter, he achieved impressive results that year with a batting average of .283, one Home Run, 44 RBI, and 15 RBI. His career stats are .268, 925 hit, 19 Home Run runs, 331 RBI, and 67 stolen base in 1,134 games. He retired from active play with Niigata in the BC League in 2014, and from 2015 he served as a coach with DeNA and Rakuten Eagles, and in 2013 he served as a coach with Wei Chuan in Taiwan alongside SD (temporary coach) Satoshi Nakajima. The team's goal is to win the league championship for the first time in three years. An experienced "craftsman" will provide support from behind the scenes.
