Orix Buffaloes Mu-heng Chen pitcher The second-year right-hander practiced weight training in his native Taiwan, as well as first-response training for the first time in order to increase his range of motion.

Softbank Hawks Xu Wonghui pitcher, who is also from Taiwan, joined the team. He is looking forward to "fighting together" with his compatriots, including Ruei-Yang Gu Lin pitcher and Yi-Lei Sun pitcher of Nippon-Ham, saying, "I want to work hard so that I can quickly rise to the top and compete under control.
