Five rookie players will start on the first team: first-round draft pitcher Satoshi Fujiwara (Hanazono University), second-round draft pitcher Itsuki Ito (Waseda University), third-round pitcher infielder (Chuo University), sixth-round draft pick Ru Kutani (Oji), and seventh-round draft outfielder Shoya Sakagami (Kindai University).
