Nippon-Ham Fighters manager Tsuyoshi Shinjo (53) spoke about his opinion on changing the format of the Climax Series (CS) at a meeting of the managers of 12 teams held in Tokyo on the 20th.

"That's a secret. Don't tell anyone," he said, before adding, "I think the current rules are fine. As long as there's no gap between us, that's fine."

Last season, they finished in second place, 4.5 points behind the leader, Softbank Hawks, and in the final stage of the CS, they finished with 3 wins and 4 losses, narrowly missing out on advancing to the Japan Series.

When asked what his goal was for this season, he said firmly, "We want to win. We don't want to be number two in Japan." "Because a strong team is one that has won through 143 matches. That's what matters," he said, showing his enthusiasm for reaching the top.
