Softbank Hawks Tatsuru Yanagimachi outfielder Tatsuya Yanagimachi held a talk show in Fukuoka City on the 18th. The batter, who won the title for the highest on-base percentage in Pacific League in 2025, vowed to improve his power hitting. His slugging percentage last year was .376, and he has set his sights on .400 this year. His current ability data in the popular game "Jikkyou Powerful Pro baseball," which he enjoys playing regularly, is C for contact and D for power hitting. "It's really bothering me. I'd be happy if my level went up. (With the current numbers) I'd take him out of starting line-up. I don't want to use him," he said, indicating that he would remove his own power-deficient self from the starting lineup in the game. "I want both my contact and power to be around B. That would be the easiest to use," he said, expressing his wish for an improvement in his abilities even within the game.

During his personal training, he works hard on strength training to improve his long-range hitting ability, and is modeling his swing after his colleague Kensuke Kondo, honing his ``swing that accelerates by swinging the ball back widely.''
