Nippon-Ham 's Haruki Hosono enters bullpen at Escon

Nippon-Ham pitcher Haruki Hosono, who is aiming to become one of the starting pitchers, entered bullpen for the third time this year at the ESCON training camp on the 18th. He threw to catcher sitting down for the first time and also received advice from pitcher Hiromi Ito who is also training with him.

As Hosono began preparing next to Kono, who was already pitching, Ito arrived at bullpen a little later to observe. It was a powerful pitch, but Hosono chuckled, "I put too much power into it. I regret it (laughs). I wanted to show off my skills to (Ito) Oumi and Kono. Next time, I'll make sure not to put too much power into it."

He also reaffirmed the difficulty of pitching. "It's still difficult. I was able to pitch high, but when I try to aim low, my movement changes. I hope I can adjust to that by the time the season starts," he reflected.

Ito gave him direct advice in the middle of pitching. Hosono explained, "I thought my timing wasn't right, and it seems that Ohmi saw it that way too. He gave me advice like, 'It's better to pitch at this timing.'" He expressed his gratitude, saying, "He's at a higher level than me, so it's difficult to do it all at once, but he points out things that I normally wouldn't notice, so I'm really grateful."
