Tatsumi joined Rakuten Eagles as the first pick in the 2018 draft and has played in over 100 games every year since his first year in 2019. In 2021, he reached the required number of at-bats for the first time, and in 2024, he played in all 143 games, hitting 158 hit and winning the most hit title. Last season, he played in 114 games, batting .240 Home Run and 32 RBI. On defense, he has won the Golden Glove Award in outfielder category for five consecutive years since 2021.
