Misho Nishikawa outfielder, which is training voluntarily in Ginoza Village, Okinawa Prefecture, released comments through the baseball team on March 16.

Nishikawa commented, "I feel like I'm hitting the ball with more power every day. I can feel my body is sharper and lighter. I won Rookie of the Year, but I'm not at all satisfied with the results of my first year, so in my second year, I want to aim even higher. I want to work hard to grow even more. Right now, I'm working on building on the good form I had last year and trying to raise my level even further. Personally, I want to play in all the games and aim to be the leading hitter while also hitting double-digit Home Run. I'm always listening to various stories from Uebayashi (Chunichi) and Morishita (Hanshin Tigers), who I'm training with, and I'm learning a lot from them and they're a great source of inspiration."

Last season, his rookie year, Nishikawa struggled to adapt to professional baseball right after the season started, but after being promoted to the first team for the third time in June, he posted a batting average of .311. He ultimately finished with a batting average of .281, fifth in the league, and a league-leading 27 doble, earning him Pacific League Rookie of the Year award. Even greater success is expected from him this season.
