Lotte's rookie joint voluntary training was held on the 11th at Lotte Urawa Baseball Stadium in Saitama City.

Following the first day on the 10th, the second-round draft pick, left-handed pitcher Kaito Mori (Meiji University), played catch with the first-round draft pick, right-handed pitcher Gen Ishigaki (Kendai Takasaki). On the 10th, Gen Ishigaki commented on the ball's trajectory, saying, "It was unique, like it was floating up from below, so it was scary."

Mori explained, "I'm not tall (177cm) and my release point isn't high either, so I always imagine the ball passing over the bat when I throw. I'm conscious of not opening my right shoulder. People say it's hard to see where the ball is coming out, so I'm trying to keep that in mind as well." If his preparations go smoothly, he may be able to throw standing up in bullpen on the first day of the third rookie training session on the 18th.
