Lotte's rookie joint voluntary training was held on the 11th at Lotte Urawa Baseball Stadium in Saitama City.

Following the first day on the 10th, second-round draft pick left-handed Kaito Mori (Meiji University) played catch with first-round draft pick right-handed pitcher Gen Ishigaki (Kenta Takasaki High School). On the 10th, Ishigaki commented on Mori's pitches, saying, "They seemed to rise up from below, they were unique and scary."

Mori explained, "I'm not very tall (177 cm), and my release point isn't high either, so I always throw with the image of the ball passing over the bat. I'm conscious of keeping my right shoulder from opening up. People often say it's hard to see where the ball comes out, so I'm working on that as well." If his training goes smoothly, he may throw standing in bullpen on the 18th, the first day of the third phase of the rookie joint voluntary training.
