Lotte's joint voluntary training for rookies began on the 10th at their home stadium, Zozo, with 10 rookie players participating.

The only rookie wearing blue training wear was first-round draft pitcher Genki Ishigaki (Kendai Takasaki), who practiced at Zozo for the first time. He said with a refreshing look on his face, "I've been looking forward to this for a long time, so it was a lot of fun. It really made me realize that this is a professional baseball stadium. The wind was stronger than I've ever felt before."

He played catch with second-round draft pitcher Kaito Mori (Meiji University) and calmly analyzed, "My pitches were a bit of a shoot and I wasn't throwing good pitches yet, so I think I need to gradually improve my condition." He will continue to prepare for the first-team camp, where manager Saburo has stated that he will be included in the team.
