On the 9th, the Lotte Marines announced that they had signed a development contract with outfielder Stiven Acevedo. His uniform number will be 140.
Acevedo expressed his enthusiasm through the team, saying, "I'm happy to have the opportunity to play for The Marines again this year. I can't wait to meet my teammates and the fans. I'll be starting out as a development player, but like last year, I'll work hard and overcome each challenge one by one, and I hope to become a regular player at the right time and perform well on the first team."
Acevedo, a native of the Dominican Republic, joined the team last season on a development contract and was promoted to the regular team in July. He played in five games for the first team, batting .182 with one Home Run and two RBI.
