Rakuten Eagles 's second-round draft pick, pitcher Tatsuki Ito from Waseda University, participated in the first day of the rookie joint voluntary training held at the indoor practice facility of "Rakuten Eagles Mobile Saikyo Park Miyagi" on the 8th.

He played catch and did other training. "The thing I was most conscious of was playing catch. After warming up and working up a sweat, I focused on pitch, which is my main job," he recalled.

He recorded 93 runs in the team's traditional shuttle run. "I was able to run more than I thought I would." He is more confident in his throwing stamina than his running stamina. "I think I have the stamina to throw," he said, clapping his arm.

From now on, he will be doing joint voluntary training overseas from the 10th to the 22nd, in preparation for spring training camp in February. The right-handed pitcher, who is expected to be an immediate asset, said, "The training camp will start in February, so I want to prepare properly without any injuries this month so that I can make an impression in February, and do my best to be able to start in February."
