Developmental draft pick #6, Yuma Masaki pitcher a muscle pose with his favorite protein powder.

Seibu Lions 's sixth-round developmental draft pick, pitcher Yuma Masaki (23) from Sophia University, moved into the "Wakashishi Dormitory" in Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture on the 7th.

Masaki, who has lived overseas for a long time due to his father's work, chose protein as his companion when he moved into the dormitory. "I've been drinking this since high school. It was brought over from America; my parents bought six or seven bags and packed them in a suitcase. It seems the suitcase was broken, so it was heavy for them to bring it all, so I'm going to drink it all up and move on," he said, bringing an item filled with the love of his family.

At Sophia University, he trained silently in a limited environment, which led to him going pro. Looking ahead to his next big step, he said with shining eyes, "I honestly want to talk to everyone. Until now, I've mainly practiced by watching videos, but from now on I'll be able to hear directly, so I'd like to make the most of these opportunities."
