▼ End of the year greetings from President and CEO Masayuki Morii
"To all the staff of the team, thank you for your hard work. This season, the passionate support of our fans gave Rakuten Eagles a powerful boost. We were delighted to have 1.7 million fans attend our games, far exceeding last year's figures. We are deeply grateful for the tremendous support from our fans and for the dedicated efforts of all our staff members in their daily work. Holding regular season in all six prefectures of Tohoku this season was a very significant achievement for us. Above all, sharing joy and emotion with the people of Tohoku who love baseball has been an invaluable experience that will be a great source of strength for our future activities. The team narrowly missed out on a top-three finish, but I am confident that with the fusion of veterans, young players, and new talent, the team is steadily growing into one that can aim for even greater heights. Next season, let's work together as a team to aim for the championship so that we can deliver the greatest joy to our fans. The New Year's holiday is short, but please rest well and have a happy new year."
