▼ End of the year greetings from President and CEO Masayuki Morii
"Thank you to all the team staff for your hard work. Once again this season, the enthusiastic support of our fans provided a powerful boost to Rakuten Eagles. We had 1.7 million fans attend our games, far exceeding last year's figure, and we would like to express our sincere gratitude to our fans for their tremendous support, as well as to all the dedicated efforts of our staff who worked hard every day. Holding regular season in all six prefectures of Tohoku this season was a very meaningful achievement for us. More than anything, being able to share the joy and excitement with baseball loving people of Tohoku, and this invaluable experience will serve as a great source of strength for our future activities. Although the team narrowly missed out on making it into Class A, I am confident that by combining veterans, young players, and new talent, we are steadily growing into a team that can aim for even greater heights. Next season, let's work together as a team and aim to become number one in Japan, so that we can bring the greatest joy to our fans. Although it is a short New Year's holiday, please take some time to rest and have a wonderful New Year."
