Seiichi Teramoto Orix Buffaloes Buffaloes attends a press conference after concluding contract negotiations.

Orix Buffaloes Seiichi Teramoto outfielder (22) pledged to fulfill his "development dream" for the next season. He was drafted fourth in last year's draft, and his goal of becoming a manager was not achieved. Sugimoto encouraged him to "catch your dream. On the day of the contract negotiations in Maishima, Osaka, he signed a contract with a salary of 2.5 million yen, an increase of 100,000 yen. I want to be a consistent hitter next year," he said, intending to follow Raoh's order.

He suffered a stress fracture in his left rib during the rookie joint training camp in January. "I was a little anxious because I got off to a slow start," he admitted, but he still made an impression in the Western League with a batting average of .385 in 13 games. He is a graduate of Hiroshima University of Economics, and a notable alumnus is Yanagita (Softbank Hawks). Like him, he is right-handed pitcher and left-handed hitter, and his strength lies in his full swing.

He has also changed his hairstyle, saying, "I got a perm..." and is a nice character that is teased by both seniors and juniors. "Ultimately, I hope I can hit like Yoshida Masanao," he said with a sparkle in his eyes. Keep an eye on the balls that will be hit from his 170cm, 86kg frame. It will be interesting to see him make a big impact. (Osada Toru)
