On the 18th, Lotte announced that the team's official mascot, Mar-kun, and MIKU from the team's official cheer performer, M☆Splash!!, participated in the "Year-end and New Year Special Security Enforcement Ceremony" hosted by Chiba Nishi Police Station, held at the Grand Square on the first floor of AEON Mall Makuhari New City. Mar-kun was also appointed as the one-day chief of Chiba Nishi Police Station.
This event was planned by Chiba Nishi Police Station with the aim of raising public awareness of safety during the New Year holidays, and featured lectures on three themes: "Fraud Prevention," "Traffic Safety," and "Solicitation Prevention." After the lectures, police vehicles were dispatched on a special New Year's holiday patrol under the command of Ma-kun and MIKU.
There was also a performance by the Chiba Prefectural Kemigawa High School Brass Band "Kemisui," which really got the crowd excited.
▼ Comment from Ma-kun
"Today I had the opportunity to participate as the police chief for a day. Through this event, I was reminded once again of how everyone in the community and the police officers work every day to keep the city safe. I also learned the importance of traffic rules and crime prevention during the day. As a member of Chiba Lotte Marines, I would like to continue to get out into the community, not just at the stadium, and bring smiles and "safety and security" to everyone!"
